Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research

The Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research (HIMR) is a partnership between UK government and the UK mathematics research community. It began its life in 2005, and has hubs in Bristol, London and Manchester. The Institute employs Postdoctoral Research Fellows in several UK universities, and funds PhD studentships across the UK. It supports UK-based events and focused research activities. It coordinates research activities that bring some of most outstanding individuals worldwide into the UK for visits.
